“When I was in the Basilica of San't Andrea in Mantua, I had the first impression of the relationship between time, in its double atmospheric and chronological sense, and architecture; I could see how the fog permeated the basilica...”
Scientific autobiography / Aldo Rossi

This “atmospheric/chronological” sense that Rossi speaks of is something that we want to emphasize in this design, starting from the idea of “tectonic lightness”, using the air as a design tool: the wind flows freely through a ventilated envelope that gives the air a certain physicality. This climatic artifact is intended to make the energy of the wind visible and audible, eventually inflating and capturing the morning breeze.

The “invisibility” with which architecture deals with energy infrastructures is something we would like to question, as it is almost always relegated to the background. As Paul Virilio says, we are in the era of fluid dynamics, in which we are interested in the architectures of the path, the path of energy, the path of bodies that bring with them a certain dynamism through fluids, not solids, and understand them as conscious subjects in search of new pacts with the environment.Gravity and wind are natural phenomena that are emphasized in this project, they become visible as kinetic expressions that use movement and sound as a catalyst for an experience generated by these aerial elements, open to the direction of the wind that suggests these “other spaces”. The aim is that architecture not only supports the projections of our memories or imaginations, but is also capable of generating such projections.
